Natalia Ebersole
Founder, Veritas Law, PC
I founded Veritas Law, PC because I believe every client deserves an attorney who is genuinely invested in their success: someone who explains things clearly, treats them fairly, and brings real experience to every matter. That belief shapes everything about how this firm works.
I have more than 20 years of legal and business experience, including practice in California since 2019. My practice began in corporate and transactional law, where I advised on complex mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and business matters across multiple industries and countries. In California, I have worked with businesses and individuals on commercial transactions, corporate matters, real estate, and business acquisitions and sales. In addition to my law degree, I hold a Master of Laws in International Commercial Law and Arbitration from Pepperdine University School of Law and a Master of Business Administration. That combination of business education and hands-on transactional experience means Veritas Law, PC is built on something beyond legal training: an understanding of the goals behind every client matter, not just the legal question in front of it.
Public sector work added a perspective that is difficult to acquire any other way. As Deputy County Counsel for Shasta County and later as Assistant City Attorney and Interim City Attorney for the City of Redding, I managed the full range of legal work that municipalities encounter every day. As in-house legal counsel for the Redding Electric Utility, I advised on energy procurement, utility agreements, and public financing. More recently, I have been part of one of California's largest lawsuits involving groundwater rights, working alongside water agencies and special districts across the state.
I founded Veritas Law, PC to bring this depth of experience directly to businesses, nonprofits, and public entities in Northern California, through a model built on clear communication, honest advice, and fees that clients can predict or ascertain in advance.

OUR APPROACH
How We Work
Legal needs are not one-size-fits-all. Some organizations need a trusted legal partner across all their operations. Others need experienced counsel for a specific transaction or project. Others have existing legal teams and need specialized support in a particular area. Veritas Law, PC is structured to work in all these ways, and to make sure that whatever the engagement looks like, the client always knows what to expect.
01
Ongoing Legal Partnership as Outside General Counsel
Many businesses, nonprofits, and public entities need consistent, knowledgeable legal support across their operations but cannot justify the cost or overhead of a full-time in-house attorney. Others are at a stage where legal issues are arising regularly enough that obtaining representation only when something goes wrong is becoming expensive and is reactive instead of being proactive.
As your outside general counsel, Veritas Law, PC becomes a dedicated part of your team. We learn your organization, understand your goals, and stay ahead of issues before they become problems. Over time, the relationship deepens: the legal advice gets sharper, the response time gets faster, and the value compounds because we already know your priorities, your history, your contracts, and your risk profile.
This model works well for businesses, nonprofits, municipalities, and special districts that want comprehensive legal support at a predictable cost.
Ongoing legal partnership entails:
- A dedicated attorney who knows your organization from the inside
- Legal support across all areas of your operations as needs arise
- Proactive guidance that keeps you ahead of compliance and risks
- Predictable monthly or retainer-based fee arrangements
- Direct access to your attorney whenever you need it
02
Project and Transaction Counsel
Sometimes the client has a specific matter that needs to be handled well: a business acquisition, a complex contract, an energy agreement, a public financing matter, or a hearing before a board or agency. Veritas Law, PC works with clients on a project or transaction basis, bringing the same depth of experience and attention to a defined engagement as to any long-term relationship. Whether the matter is straightforward or highly complex, you will work directly with Natalia throughout.
Counsel for Projects and Transactions entails:
- A clear scope of work defined at the outset
- Experienced counsel handling your matter from beginning to end
- Fee arrangements discussed and agreed upon at the outset, so the client knows what to expect
- Direct communication throughout
03
Special Counsel and Specialized Support
Some organizations already have legal counsel, whether an in-house attorney, a city attorney, or an existing outside firm, but need specialized expertise or additional capacity for a specific project or in a specific area. Veritas Law, PC works comfortably alongside existing legal teams, stepping in where specialized knowledge or support is needed without disrupting the client’s established representation.
This is particularly common in municipal and energy law, where the depth of experience required for a specific matter, such as an energy procurement agreement, a Joint Powers Authority restructuring, or a water rights adjudication, goes beyond what a general counsel is expected to handle.
Special Counsel and Specialized Support entails:
- Seamless collaboration with your existing legal team or counsel
- Specialized expertise brought in for a specific matter or practice area
- Clear boundaries on scope so there is no duplication or confusion
- Fee arrangements structured around the specific engagement

What Every Client Can Count On
Regardless of how we work together, some things never change. You work directly with Natalia Ebersole on every matter from the first conversation to the final deliverable. Fees are discussed openly from the start with no surprises. Legal advice provided by Veritas Law, PC is grounded in an understanding of your goals, not just the legal questions in front of you. Every matter, large or small, receives the same standard of care.
Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What types of organizations do you work with?
Veritas Law, PC works with businesses, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, special districts, joint powers authorities, and public utilities. We fit easily into most existing legal structures, whether you have no legal counsel, work with some outside counsel, or have an internal legal team that needs additional specialized support in a particular area.
How does the outside general counsel model work?
We serve as your dedicated legal partner on an ongoing basis. Rather than calling a lawyer only when something goes wrong, we get to know your organization, your goals, and your operations so we can provide consistent, proactive legal support. This gives organizations access to experienced and dedicated legal counsel without the overhead of a full-time hire. A key benefit of retaining Veritas Law, P.C. as outside general counsel is to proactively address issues early and thereby avoid costly problems later. Fee arrangements are agreed upon upfront, so the client will know what to expect.
Can you help me buy or sell a business?
Yes. We handle all stages of business transactions, including structuring the deal, due diligence, negotiating and drafting the full range of transaction documents, and closing. We have experience with both domestic and international transactions across multiple industries.
Do you work with nonprofit organizations?
Yes. We assist nonprofits with formation, governance, board advisory work, grant compliance, public-private partnerships, and the ongoing legal questions that arise as nonprofit organizations operate and grow. Our outside general counsel model works particularly well for nonprofits that need consistent legal support but cannot justify the costs of in-house counsel.
What public agencies do you advise?
We advise cities, counties, and special districts including water districts, park districts, and utility districts, as well as joint powers authorities. Our work includes general counsel and special counsel services, drafting, reviewing and revising contracts, procurement and disposal of assets, public financing, Brown Act and Public Records Act compliance, water law, issues involving the California Environmental Quality Act, and energy-related agreements and memorandums.
Do you handle energy law matters?
Yes. We advise municipal electric utilities, utility districts, and joint powers authorities on energy procurement, power purchase agreements, transmission rights, utility operational agreements, joint powers authority governance, and bond financing for capital to facilitate energy projects. Counsel provided by Veritas Law, P.C. is grounded in firsthand experience as in-house legal counsel for a municipal electric utility.
Can you work alongside our existing legal team or general counsel?
Absolutely. We regularly serve as special counsel to organizations that already have legal counsel but need specialized expertise or additional capacity for a specific matter. We work seamlessly alongside existing teams without disrupting representation that is already in place.
How do you structure your fees?
Fee arrangements depend on the nature of the engagement. For ongoing legal partnerships as outside general counsel we offer predictable monthly or retainer-based arrangements. For a specific project or transaction, we develop with the client on a clear fee structure at the outset. In every case, fees are discussed openly before work begins so there are no surprises.
Do you handle international business matters?
Yes. We support cross-border and international business matters as part of our transactional practice, drawing on extensive experience with international mergers and acquisitions, cross-border commercial agreements, and transactions across multiple countries and legal systems.
